The one of a kind sound of Michelle Branch and Jessica Harp as The Wreckers almost did not occur. These two young and inspiring women were creating a name for themselves separating when fans enlightened one another on the fact they sounded so much alike. Finally, these two began corresponding through emails and then met. Their friendship blossomed from that day forward which makes them one of the most unique sounds to come out of country music.

Michelle and Jessica both write music, play the guitar, and sing which makes them the perfect best friends. Fame was in their destiny the minute they became friends. When you hear their new modern sound, you will not be able to turn the channel, as their voices are unique and exciting. Their music is not your ordinary run of the mill country music. You will be hearing a story written by their own hands and sang from the heart.

Their album Stand Still, Look Pretty was released in May 2006 and was #5 on the country music charts in the US and on the top 20 on the pop charts. In the UK, their album made it to #1, which is saying a lot since country music is not as popular in the UK as it is in the US.

The Wreckers performed the opening act for Rascal Flatts tour during the summer of 2006 and were nominated for the vocal duo of the year at the 40 th Annual CMA awards in 2006. Their single Leave the Pieces from the album Stand Still, Look Pretty hit the country charts at #1 in the US during 2006.
